Are you needing support to be able to focus on the vision and growth of your business without having to worry about the nuts and bolts of its day-to-day functioning? As a business owner and experienced Online Business Manager (OBM) I know what it takes to run a business, and when things start to grow, it’s impossible to do it alone. That’s where I come in, be it high or low-level tasks, I can do it all. Read through some of the frequently asked questions below that I get about my work to learn how it is that I can support you, allowing you to watch your business expand and grow.

What is an Online Business Manager?
An Online Business Manager (OBM) is a virtual professional who supports you to run your business or project by supporting with day-to-day management tasks, projects, operations, metrics, teams and more. By providing a helicopter view of your business, an OBM can work with you to see what can be delegated that would give you the space to build your business, work with your clients, foster strategic alliances, gain new clients, develop products, undergo big picture planning and more.
When to engage an Online Business Manager?
People often ask the question; do I need a Virtual Assistant (VA) or an Online Business Manager (OBM)? A VA is generally used when you need support with basic administration tasks whereas an OBM is a far more experienced professional with experience in managing businesses, you could consider them a high-level VA.
You can engage an OBM at any time, however, this often happens when you simply cannot grow your business further without you, the business owner, being the only one at the helm. This can be when you’re poised to hit the green light and move forward, however, you don’t have the time or space to do all that’s required. That’s when an OBM can come in, helping you take your business to the next level.
Why engage an Online Business Manager?
There can be many reasons why you might need to engage an Online Business Manager (OBM), but for most, it’s quite simply to organise and support you to take your business to the next level. Demand might be increasing, your team might be growing, you might be lacking a Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) manual, you might need to implement new systems or simply don’t know how you are going to be able to take the next steps without the additional support. I offer all my potential clients a free 15-minute conversation to determine what support might be best for them, so don’t hold back in making the call.
What types of things would an Online Business Manager do?
It's more like, what can’t an Online Business Manager (OBM) do? As the old saying goes, how long is a piece of string? An OBM is a professional manager or high-level Virtual Assistant (VA) who can help with a range of tasks and projects which vary from business to business, entrepreneur to entrepreneur, solopreneur to solopreneur, and so on.
The fundamental thing that an OBM does is work alongside you to make your life and your business run smoother and more efficiently, in whichever way is needed. My job as an OBM is to get to know your business inside and out, from the pain points to the strengths, seeing what’s working and what’s not, but most importantly, finding what you love doing and delegating the rest to someone else (like me). From there we develop and plan based on your goals, then it’s my job to deliver, supporting to make your business stronger.

Be it developing efficient systems, processes and/or procedures, developing or managing client management systems, conducting business analysis or business growth activities, the list is endless. Read below for some common tasks OBM’s may be asked to do for their clients that I easily can do for you.
